[Q] Deterministic or stochastic?

I’d like to know if DSSAT model use a linear programming or not and if DSSAT model’s uncertainty is deterministic or stochastic. – RG

Thank you for your message and interest in DSSAT. The crop models are based on partial differential equations and they are deterministic.

Uncertainty is handled by providing the models with different series of weather data.
