All DSSAT crop models are provided with at least one real experiment that includes crop management, weather and soil data. Running the DSSAT crop models is relatively easy. However, entering your own data for model evaluation and defining scenarios for model applications can be somewhat challenging. Currently the availability of tutorials is limited, although there are a few YouTube videos provided by our user community for older versions of DSSAT. If you are serious about learning DSSAT and applying DSSAT in your research, extension, teaching, consulting, and education program, we highly recommend that you attend one of the training workshops that are organized on a regular basis across the globe. The standard DSSAT workshop is the one scheduled annually during May at the University of Georgia. In this workshop most of the DSSAT developers participate as instructors. See the section under upcoming workshops for further details.
