Noticed something new? We’ve got a new logo!

Yes, we’ve got a new logo! As we approaches a new milestone of DSSAT v4.6, we ran a logo design contest at 99designs.com, a crowd-sourcing platform targeted for designing projects. For about two weeks of contest period in April 2014, total of 54 designers worldwide submitted 195 designs. After several rounds of internal review among the DSSAT Foundation’s founding members, finally a logo submitted by an Indonesian designer, Krustovin August, was selected as the winner. Reviewers appraised Krustovin’s logo as the best design appropriately combining the computer, flow of data, and the agriculture.

We already started using this logo officially in the DSSAT training materials and the splash screen of forthcoming DSSAT v4.6 that will greet you whenever you open DSSAT. We like it a lot; hope you like it too!
