Crop Modeling as a Tool for Understanding the Genotype x Environment Interaction

On June 23, 2022, Gerrit Hoogenboom conducted an on-line workshop and seminar entitled “Crop Modeling as a Tool for Understanding the Genotype x Environment Interaction.” The overall goal of the workshop was to introduce the participants of the workshop to the application of dynamic crop simulation models with emphasis on using crop models for understanding the Genotype x Environment x Management interactions. The workshop also included a live demonstration with examples of the Decision Support System for Agrotechnology Transfer (DSSAT). The overall purpose of the seminar was to provide an overview on how to use one type of crop modelling software that considers an entire cropping system.

The on-line workshop lasted for two hours, including a question and answer session at the end of the seminar. The recording can be found at the following link: www.ag2pi.org/workshops-and-activities/workshop-2022-06/ and can be watched via YouTube.

The on-line workshop was hosted by the Agricultural Genome to Phenome Initiative (AG2PI).
