The DSSAT Foundation, in collaboration with the Technical University of Munich (TUM) and the University of Florida will be hosting the DSSAT 2026 European Training Program from Monday, September 7 through Saturday, September 12, 2026. The workshop will be held at the World Agricultural Systems Center – Hans Eisenmann Forum of the Technical University of Munich Campus in Freising, Germany.
This workshop will build on the successful workshops that have been held annually at the University of Georgia – Griffin Campus. It will provide a new opportunity, especially for international participants, to attend this workshop in Germany.

The overall goal of the workshop is to familiarize the workshop participants with the Decision Support System for Agrotechnology Transfer (DSSAT v4.8.x); the Cropping System Model (CSM) for the simulation of crop growth and yield, soil and plant water, nutrient, and carbon dynamics; and the application of models to real world problems, such as crop and resource management, climate change and climate variability, carbon sequestration, food security, biofuels, greenhouse gas emissions, and environmental
sustainability.
This will be a completely in-person workshop with no option for remote participation. We feel that we can be more efficient in training participants on the use and application of DSSAT through an in-person workshop, especially for the hands-on experience with the software.
